Great story on 60 Minutes tonight. It discussed the scientific research being done on CTE – chronic traumatic encephalopathy, an issue that affects both Veterans (especially combat Veterans) and high-contact sports players. It was a fascinating story and also has additional related segments on 60 Minutes Overtime.
Worth watching and reading:
There are additional stories posted that are also focused on the research and progress being made to find ways to treat and reduce the effects of CTE — the chronic recurrence of TBI. These may not only help Veterans, but may also help athletes, including young athletes.
