In the heart of Phoenix, bounded by the State Capitol to the west and the USS Arizona Memorial to the east, is Wesley Bolin Plaza. This amazing walk through history is a collection of monuments and memorials to Arizona history, past and present.
When visiting the Phoenix area, resplendent with natural wonders, cultural opportunities, museums, parks, sports, and other entertainment venues, I recommend highly making a morning (in the summer) or afternoon (in the winter) to take a few hours to explore the rich history of the state as well as those who helped shape the 48th state.
